COMMENT: I was recently set up at a local craft / farmers market, and to my surprise I found a competitor selling this game. He called it Monkey Bars. So I deceided to set up next to him, since they were playing the game for demenstration purposes, and it would give me a chance to observe the quality of his game.
It didn't take long, and I realized, this is not a competitor, but a great oppurtunity for people to see the difference in quality. In a matter of minutes I watched as one of the golf balls went flying off the rope. Then I noticed that almost everytime they would throw a round and add up there score, they would stop to push the frame back together again. It continued to fall apart all morning, and they continued to put it back together. The 1/2 " pvc they used was just not strong enough to hold up to play. No parts of this frame had been glued. This was so they can completely dissasemble the frame so it could be put in a bag. This would require time consuming effort to assemble the frames every time you wanted to play and more time to disasemble at the end of play. This would be in addition to all the effort involed in constantly putting the game back together during play. And the price for this ----$ 40.00-----
I must give one of the gentlemen credit for his playing abilities. He was very good at the game. Scoring many three point rungs. It appeared as though years of playing horseshoes paid off in his ablity to play this game.
So the moral of the story: Not all games are created equal. When shopping for this game, look for a quality built game that will last for years. Your time playing should be spent on enjoying the game not performing maintenance.
